Maddy Clark

Maddy Clark is an award-winning 25-year-old singer-songwriter from the Washington, DC area who has been writing music since she was thirteen. Maddy studied songwriting at the Interlochen Arts Academy, and her songs have consistently earned acclaim in songwriting competitions, including the 2016 Bernard/Ebb Songwriting Awards where she was named Best Young Songwriter.

A five-time honoree in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest, her song “Washington Square Lullaby,” from the EP “A Dance,” was named best song in the Rock/Alternative category and placed third overall in the 2018 competition. The title-track has garnered a host of awards, including Top Five Winner in the 2019 Great American Song Contest (Adult Contemporary Category), finalist in the SongDoor International Songwriting Competition, finalist in the International Acoustic Music Awards, and second in its category in the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. “Nowadays,” also from the EP, earned honorable mentions in the Mid-Atlantic and SongDoor competitions, and was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. Her recent single “Rope Burns” was a category finalist in the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Contest while “Chicago” earned honorable mention in the same competition.

Maddy’s music has been featured on the Tony Kornheiser Show podcast and can be found on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Amazon, and YouTube. She is currently working on a slew of exciting new material that she looks forward to sharing in the coming year.
